    About Kate Merli

    Ensuring Proper Finances at a New York PE Fund

    Focused on special situations secondaries transactions at New 2ND Capital, Kate Merli helps guide a private equity fund in New York. Serving on the Operating and Valuation Committees, she manages external service providers and evaluates aspects of operations such as capital calls and cash flow requirements. Kate Merli also oversees the fund administrator-led quarterly and annual process of reviewing company finances and work product.

    Ms. Merli received her BS and MS, each in accountancy, from Bentley University. In 2008, she was part of a student team that finished third in the KPMG National Audit Case Competition and went on to spend three years with KPMG, LLP, in Boston as a senior associate. As such, she was responsible for leading five major financial statement audit initiatives within the asset management sphere.

    Active within her community, Ms. Merli volunteers with the New York Junior League, an organization that has focused on assisting women and children in need for more than a century.
